"I had never been involved with yoga before Gayle started teaching a class at my workplace. Even then, I didn't join right away
because I thought yoga was "just stretching" and "too easy". After all, I needed a good workout for my time investment!
I finally joined the class and l can now say unconditionally that once-a-week yoga has increased my strength, flexibility
and posture to an amazing degree. Yoga's not for sissies, there is some serious strength training in those poses! In addition
to all that, yoga made me taller. I'm serious. I've been 5'7 all my life, but at my last doctor's visit, I measured 5'7 and a half!
I made the nurse double check. I don't know if it is due to alignment or posture or what, but it definitely happened!
Having the "Yoga at Your Place" class at work is so perfect... no driving/parking/travel time, no excuse for not going!
It's also been a fun way to get to know my coworkers better. Gayle is a wonderful teacher who inspires you to improve
by her example; she's also calm, patient, and fun! I really look forward to "yoga day" each week! I feel so good afterward
that it's motivated me to start practicing on my own at home. Thank you, Gayle!"

"I am so much more aware of my posture, since I began practicing yoga. I do feel a big improvement in my balance and flexibility. Poses that were very difficult are getting easier. Gayle constantly challenges us to work harder, and go into each pose a little deeper. I've picked up on her attitude and now have a greater expectation of myself. I feel taller and lighter after a yoga session with Gayle. She does a terrific job.
Yoga is something I do for myself, for my long-term health and independence as I age. Yoga combines both invigorating stretches and quiet, restorative movements - my body thanks me every time I practice."

Gayle,
Just a quick note to let you know how much I have enjoyed learning Yoga and how much it has helped me. Just after I started attending the Yoga classes I turned 60 years old (who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?). I had been bemoaning the fact that as I aged I was getting slower, I got injured more easily, it took longer to recover from my injuries, I lost my level of fitness faster while waiting to recover, and when my injuries finally healed it took me longer to get back to my previous level of fitness.
What I began to realize is that my problem was not my age, it was my attitude. Doing Yoga helped me focus more on stretching and staying limber to reduce chances of injuries. Yoga also helped me focus on staying more relaxed, even during my harder training efforts and being more "in control" of my body. As my training improved, so did my enjoyment of the sports I love so much - running, riding and swimming. My times started to improve and I won my age group in 4 of the 5 triathlons in which I competed (I took 2nd in the 5th). I also lowered my times for 5K and 10K races and for the marathon.
My next marathon is coming up in 2 weeks* and I know it will be my best time in 12 years. Thanks for introducing me to Yoga and helping me learn to get more out of my body even as I am getting older.

"I ran a 3:38 for first in the geriatric division and my fastest marathon since 1996, so I was very pleased."
"Yoga at Your Place has transformed my mental health and physical wellness! I had never tried yoga before and was very excited that the instructor would come right to our work! How convenient! Gayle Jann provides individualized attention for each person in our class. She asks questions and truly listens to our needs in order to make sure that each student is comfortable, empowered, and challenged at the level that is just right for them.
I personally have severe hip pain and a chronic degenerative cartilage condition in both knees. Each class, Gayle makes sure that I work on the specific needs that are necessary for me to get the most out of each yoga pose. My hip pain has reduced significantly and I am gaining flexibility that will allow for better healing and blood flow for my knee condition. We have so much fun and I couldn't be happier! Best of all, each class I leave replenished, refreshed, and with more energy!
Thank you Gayle!"

"As acting chairperson of our Wellness Committee, I was delighted when a co-worker brought Gayle's Yoga at Your Place to my attention. Gayle has been wonderful about individualizing her instruction to meet each participant's needs and has been flexible in accommodating us in terms of time and class size. This has been my first experience with yoga, and I love the blending of strength-building, personal challenge, and quiet reflection. It is such a welcomed break from the work day. We are hooked, and looking forward to having Gayle come back for a third series."

"Yoga at Your Place has been a great opportunity to offer a healthy benefit to my employees. All of my staff are avid bike riders and although bicycling is great for your heart and lungs it does create a shortening of your hamstring muscles if you do not do enough stretching. Having Gayle come to the store makes it possible for staff to get that stretching in and relax at the same time. I encourage you to have her come to your business. We have many folks who have never taken yoga or it had been a long time since doing it. Gayle makes sure everyone understands the positions encourages folks and is careful to see that no one hurts themselves by trying to do things that are too difficult for them."

"I have never taken Yoga before and I was worried about how to cope given my fitness level. But Gayle does a great job of providing options that work with any fitness level. I'm happy to say that I am now attempting the more challenging poses. I have greatly improved my flexibility, balance and overall health. I had been bothered by back and neck pain in the past but all of that is gone now and I feel much stronger overall."
